Love is Love: Rebel Wilson introduces girlfriend to the world!

Happy Pride Month indeed! 2022 is already off to a fantastic and queer AF, start!

The feeling of ‘Love is Love’ is definitely in the air as Rebel Wilson came out of the closet and introduced the world to her girlfriend Ramona Agruma, perfectly timed with Pride Month.

On Thursday, the Senior Year actress, 42, posted a photo on Instagram smiling alongside her girlfriend Ramona Agruma, revealing in the caption, “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess ??? #loveislove.”

Previously, Wilson talked about being set up with her new partner “through a friend,” though she didn’t reveal who the love interest was at the time.

“We spoke on the phone for weeks before meeting. And that was a really good way to get to know each other,” she said. “It was a bit old-school in that sense — very romantic.”

“I think going through the process of finding more self-worth, I think that what you want in a partner is elevated and so it’s great to have someone who feels like an equal partner and be in a healthy relationship,” added Wilson. “There were times — I’m not saying with all my exes, they’re great — but there were some times that I was probably putting up with that I shouldn’t have. So, it feels different to be in a really healthy relationship.”

According to Agruma’s Instagram biography, she is the founder of Lemon Ve Limon, a Los Angeles-based clothing brand.

Wilson has since received an outpouring of support from fans and fellow celebrities, including her “Pitch Perfect” co-star Anna Kendrick, who wrote: “Love you both like crazy.”

“Killing Eve” actress Jodie Comer also took to the comments section to congratulate her, with the message: “So much love!”

Wilson, who previously dated Anheuser-Busch heir Jacob Busch, gave hints that she had found love again when she spoke with a magazine for her cover story the previous month.

Pride month is about equality, acceptance, education in pride history, and, most importantly, love.  Australia’s favourite actress did seem to have hit the nail in the head with her much welcome announcement!

Who is Rebel Wilson?

Who is she? She is everyone’s favourite funny friend! She is ‘Fat Amy’ from ‘Pitch Perfect’, the famous ‘Brynn’ from one of her best movies ‘Bridesmaids’ and the famous voice of the evil kangaroo from Ice Age: Continental drift. The Australian actress, comedian, writer, singer, and producer Rebel Melanie Elizabeth Wilson is known for an unlikely combination of many talents.

Previously, Wilson admitted she was a late bloomer in her personal life, but said there were upsides to being a young woman who focused on her studies and got a law degree.

“It’s not an exaggeration to say no one was really interested in dating me, especially in my 20s,” she said. “I had a snaggle tooth. I was a catch if people really got to know me, but there was nobody really interested. But in a way that allowed me to not only have this amazing career and come up out of Australia, out of nowhere and get two degrees and then come to America and crush it. Would I have been able to do that if I had a serious relationship? Probably in my love life I was meant to be a late bloomer anyways.”

Coming out during Pride Month has been a great way to honour both oneself and what the month stands for.

Here are some other celebrities who came out during pride month!

Lili Reinhart

The 23-year-old actress, best known for her roles in The CW’s teen drama Riverdale and 2019’s critically acclaimed J.Lo and Constance Wu film Hustlers, came out as bisexual at the beginning of June 2020 while publicly supporting the ongoing Black Lives Matter movement.

Cara Delevingne
During an interview with Variety for their “Power of Pride” issue, the supermodel turned actress discussed her LGBTQ+ identity. Cara, who previously came out as bisexual in 2015 and also identifies as gender-fluid, also spoke to the trade magazine about growing up with internalised queerphobia.

Justice Smith
In an eloquent June Instagram post calling for more people to support the Black Lives Matter movement and to make the movement more inclusive of Black queer and trans voices, the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Pokémon Detective Pikachu star publicly came out as queer.

Tana Mongeau
In a Pride Month Instagram post, the social media star, who previously dated fellow pan celebrity Bella Thorne, opened up about her sexuality, revealing that she now identifies as pansexual. She tweeted, “it’s also pride month and i haven’t had the chance to go hard for my lgbtqia+ babies but i be about pansexual as hell + i stand for u all ??️‍?”

Alexandra Shipp
In an emotional Instagram post, the 29-year-old actress (best known for her role in the ground-breaking gay teen romantic comedy Love, Simon) came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and revealed that she used to be afraid of what people would think of her if she revealed that part of herself. Shipp is embracing Pride Month with open arms.
